Step By Step Instructions

As with most appliance repairs, you should unplug the power cord before beginning.

To replace the main control board in your refrigerator use a quarter inch socket or nut driver to unthread the screws securing the control board access panel.

Remove the panel and note the orientation of the wires connected to the control board.

Disconnect all of the wires.

Detach the grounding wire from the frame.
6
Use needle-nose pliers to squeeze the tabs on the mounting pins to release the old board.
7
Install the new main control board by aligning it on the mounting pins and snapping it into place.
8
Connect the wire connecters to the appropriate terminals on the new board.
9
You will need to secure the new grounding wire with the upper left access panel mounting screw when replacing the panel.

With the panel secured plug the power cord back in and your refrigerator should be ready for use.
