Step By Step Instructions

As with most appliance repairs, you should unplug the power cord before beginning.

To replace the pct. relay in your refrigerator use a quarter inch socket or nut driver to unthread the screws securing the lower rear access panel.

With the screws unthreaded, carefully remove the panel.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to help release the relay cover.

You can now use the screwdriver to help pry off the old relay.

Note the orientation of the wires then use needle-nosed pliers to disconnect them.

Install the new pct. relay by first connecting the wires to the appropriate terminals.

Now align the holes in the relay with the pins on the compressor and push the relay into place.

Realign the cover and snap it into place.

Reposition the access panel and replace the screws to secure.

With the repair completed plug the power cord back in and your refrigerator should be ready for use.
