Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the spark plug on your engine first make sure the engine has cooled.

Use a 5mm hex head screwdriver to loosen the mounting screw to release the engine cover.
3
Detach the wire and boot from the spark plug.
4
Use a 5/8th inch socket or spark plug wrench to help loosen and remove the old spark plug.

Before you install the new spark plug confirm that the spark gap is at manufacturer’s specifications.

This engine model requires a 25 thousandths of an inch gap.
7
Thread the new spark plug into the cylinder head.
8
Be careful not to strip the threads by over-tightening.
9
With the new plug installed, attach the wire and boot.
10
Reposition the engine cover then thread and tighten the mounting screw to secure.
