Before you replace the fuel filter in your engine first make sure the engine has cooled.

We recommend performing this procedure with no fuel in the tank.

Unthread the fuel tank cap.

Use a wire with a hook to pull out the fuel supply line and filter.

Release the spring clamp and use a small flat-head screwdriver to help remove the old filter from the fuel line.

Install the new fuel filter by attaching it to the fuel line and securing it with the spring clamp.

Feed the filter and fuel line into the tank making sure the line is fully extended.

With the new filter installed, rethread and tighten the fuel tank cap.
