Before you replace a door spring on your dishwasher be sure to turn off the power to the appliance.

Using a phillips-head screwdriver, unthread the mounting screws securing the lower access panels.

Reach under the dishwasher and detach the hinge link securing the spring you’re replacing.

Note the hole in the frame the old spring is hooked into then unhook the spring.

Install the new door spring by hooking the short end of the spring in the appropriate hole in the frame.

Attach the hinge link to the long end of the spring with the link divider slanted forward.

Hook the link onto the door hinge.

Realign both lower access panels and replace the screws to secure.

With the repair completed turn the power back on and your dishwasher should be ready for use.
