To replace the dispenser display control assembly in this GE refrigerator…

… you will need a narrow small flat-head screwdriver.

Before you begin the procedure, unplug the appliance’s power cord.

You can insert the narrow small flat-head screwdriver or a comparable-sized tool into the holes on the bottom of the funnel and paddle assembly to help detach the display control.

Disconnect the three wire harness connecters to fully release the old control.

To install the new dispenser display control assembly…

… connect the three wire harness connecters to the appropriate terminals on the display control board.
8
Position the new control by aligning the top edge first, then snap the bottom edge into place.
9
Plug the appliance’s power cord back in…

… and the refrigerator should be ready for use.
