Step By Step Instructions

As with most appliance repairs, you should unplug the power cord before beginning.

To replace the ice maker in your refrigerator freezer open the freezer door, lift out the ice bucket and remove the shelf.

Next, use a quarter inch socket or nut driver to remove the screws securing the auger motor assembly.

Lift the motor assembly off of the mounting brackets disconnect the wire connecter and move the assembly out of the way.

Release the tabs to disconnect the ice maker wire harness.

Next, loosen the screws securing the ice maker assembly.

Lift the old assembly up to remove.
8
Prepare the new ice maker assembly for installation by transferring the fill cup from the old assembly to the new one.

Align the new assembly on the mounting screws and tighten the screws.

Connect the wire harness.

Return the auger motor assembly to the freezer compartment and connect the wire connecter.

Reposition the assembly on the mounting brackets and replace the screws to secure.
13
Slide the shelf and ice bucket back into place.

With the repair completed plug the power cord back in and your new ice maker should be ready for use.
