To replace the trimmer head on your string trimmer, align the slot in the flange washer with the slot in the gear case and insert a small flathead screwdriver.

You can now rotate the old trimmer head clockwise to detach.

Install the new trimmer head by first aligning the flanged washer, then thread the head on counter-clockwise.

Align the slots, insert the screwdriver, then rotate the head to lock it into place.
