"You will need a Philips-head screwdriver needle-nose pliers, and a towel or blanket for this procedure, and you may need assistance."

Be sure to unplug the power cord.

Have an assistant help you to move the appliance away from the wall.

"Using a Philips-head screwdriver or a number two square drive bit, unthread the rear screws securing the top panel."

Use needle-nose pliers to help extend the spring to remove the retainer from the door boot seal.

Peel the boot seal off the lip of the front panel.

Lift and support the front of the washer.

Unthread the four screws securing the bottom of the front panel.

Pull out the dispenser drawer and depress the tab to fully release.

Unthread all three screws inside the dispenser drawer housing.

Unthread the three screws securing the top of the front panel.

Lift the front panel up and out to detach.

Disconnect the two wire connecters to fully remove the panel.

Set the panel down on a towel or blanket.

Detach the ribbon connecter from the control knob and board assembly.

Use a Philips-head screwdriver to unthread the four mounting screws securing the assembly.

Pull the retaining tabs back to fully remove.

Remove the light diffuser.

Unthread the five mounting screws securing the user control and display board.

Pull the retaining tabs back to remove the board.

Unthread all of the screws securing the front console assembly.

Release the tabs to fully detach the assembly from the front panel.

"Install the new front console assembly by snapping it into place in the front panel, then thread the mounting screws."

Realign the control and display board in the panel and snap it into place.

Thread the five mounting screws.

Realign the light diffuser in the panel.

Reposition the control knob and board assembly with the diffuser and snap it into place.

Thread the four mounting screws.

Connect the ribbon connecter to the board.

Reinstall the front panel by first connecting the control board wire connecter and the door latch wire connecter.

Align the panel on the mounting pins and push down.

Rethread the three screws on top.

Replace the screws in the dispenser drawer housing.

Reinstall the dispenser drawer.

Rethread the four screws to secure the bottom of the front panel.

Realign the door boot seal on the lip of the front panel.

Secure it with the retainer by aligning the spring at the top then insert it into the groove of the boot seal.

Realign the top panel and secure it with the screws at the rear.

Move the appliance back against the wall.

Plug the power cord back in.
