"You will need a Philips-head screwdriver, needle-nose pliers, and clamps for this procedure, and you may need assistance."

Be sure to unplug the power cord.

Have an assistant help you to move the appliance away from the wall.

"Using a Philips-head screwdriver or a number two square drive bit, unthread the rear screws securing the top panel."

Use needle-nose pliers to help extend the spring to remove the retainer from the door boot seal.

Peel the boot seal off the lip of the front panel.

Lift and support the front of the washer.

Unthread the four screws securing the bottom of the front panel.

Pull out the dispenser drawer and depress the tab to fully release.

Unthread the two larger screws inside the dispenser drawer housing.

Unthread the three screws securing the top of the front panel.

Lift the front panel up and out to detach.

"Disconnect the two wire connecters to fully remove the panel, then remove the support."

"To prevent strain, release the spring clamp to detach the hose from the front circulation pump."

Loop a ratchet strap around the bottom of the tube and hook the ends of the strap on the support bracket.

Ratchet the strap to lift the tub up to release the tension on the spring you’re replacing.

Unthread the screws to release the appropriate retaining bracket.

Replace at least one screw to secure the support bracket.

"Unhook the old spring from the support bracket first, then detach it from the outer tub."

Install the new suspension spring by hooking the larger end onto the tub and the smaller end onto the support bracket.

Replace the retaining bracket and secure it with the screws.

Lower the tub and remove the ratchet strap.

Reattach the hose to the circulation pump and secure it with the spring clamp.

Support the front of the washer.

Reinstall the front panel by first connecting the control board wire connecter and the door latch wire connecter.

Align the panel on the mounting pins and push down.

Rethread the three screws on top.

Replace the screws in the dispenser drawer housing.

Reinstall the dispenser drawer.

Rethread the four screws to secure the bottom of the front panel.

"Remove the support, then realign the door boot seal on the lip of the front panel."

Secure it with the retainer by aligning the spring at the top then insert it into the groove of the boot seal.

Realign the top panel and secure it with the screws at the rear.

Move the appliance back against the wall and plug the power cord back in.
