unplug the power cord to the appliance

pull the appliance away from the wall

using a phillips-head screwdriver, unthread all of the top mounting screws securing the lower rear access panel

fully unthread the right side mounting screw
10
loosen the three screws on the bottom and lift off the panel

use a flat-head screwdriver to detach the retainer securing the overload and relay cover

remove the cover
14
pry the relay off the compressor motor pins
15
note the orientation of the wires and disconnect them
16
connect the wires from the new relay to the appropriate terminals
17
align the relay on the compressor motor pins and push into place
18
reposition the cover and secure it with the retainer
19
reinstall the access panel by aligning it on the bottom screws
20
tighten the screws

fully rethread the remaining mounting screws
