Refrigerator Control Panel Wire Harness Replacement

Be sure to unplug the power chord

Use a quarter-inch socket or nut driver to unthread the four screws securing the control panel to the upper liner

Disconnect the wire harness and pull the panel forward to remove

Use a putty knife to depress the tabs to release the old switch then disconnect the wires

Disconnect the light socket wires

Disconnect the thermostat power wires along with the grounding wire

Disconnect the wire harness from the defrost timer

Install the new control panel wire harness by first connecting the wire harness to the defrost timer

Connect the light switch wires, then realign and snap the switch into the panel

Connect the thermostat power wires and grounding wire to the appropriate terminals

Position the light socket wires in the channel UNDER the thermostat capillary tube then connect the wires to the light socket terminals

Insert the control panel drain tube into the hole on the rear liner then reconnect the wire harness

Realign the panel and thread the screws to secure

Plug the power cord back in
