Before you begin this repair, make sure the engine has cooled and be sure to remove the snowblower’s start key from the ignition.

To replace the snowblower’s carburetor, your first step is to clamp the fuel line.

Next, release the spring clamp securing the fuel line to the carburetor and pull the fuel line off. This may require some effort.

Now remove the carburetor mounting nuts.

Release the primer tube from the retainer.

Slide off the manifold and detach the breather tube from the valve cover.

Next, detach the spring and throttle linkage from the carburetor and remove the old carburetor from the mounting bolts. You can use new or existing hardware during installation.

Install the new carburetor by sliding it onto the mounting bolts.

Reconnect the throttle linkage and spring.

Reposition the manifold and reattach the breather tube on the valve cover.

Snap the primer tube into the retainer on the manifold and replace the mounting nuts to secure the manifold.

Attach the primer tube to the carburetor.

Attach the fuel line to the carburetor secure the spring clamp and remove the fuel line clamp.

With the new carburetor installed you can now return the start key to the ignition.
