Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, be sure you unplug the appliance before beginning.

Your first step is to remove any air ducts mounted on the rear panel.

Your first step is to remove any shelving or drawers obstructing the freezer's rear panel.

Next, remove the screws to release the panel itself.

Unclip the thermistor from the evaporator and, if applicable, cut the zip tie to release the wires.

Pull off the dust cover and remove the old fan motor from the housing.

You're now ready to install the new evaporator fan motor.

If you're using the old wire boot to secure the wires, remove the provided boot from the new component.

Now transfer the clip from the old thermistor to the new one.

Position the new motor in the housing and secure the mounting bracket and screws.

Slide on the dust cover and fully seat the fan blade onto the motor shaft.

Insert the wiring into the boot and clip the thermistor onto the evaporator.

Rotate the housing and hook it onto the retaining screws.

Tighten the screws.
