Tools needed: 1/4" socket or nut driver, phillips head screwdriver, flat head screwdriver

Before you replace the inverter board in your refrigerator be sure to unplug the power cord

Shut off the water supply.

Use a quarter-inch socket or nut driver to unthread the screw securing the water supply line retainer to the rear panel.

Detach the water supply line from the inlet valve.

Next, unthread the remaining screws securing the rear access panel.

To replace the inverter board, you will need to move the compressor.

Pull off the three retaining pins and remove the washers.

Carefully lift up the compressor and move it to the right.

Disconnect the two inverter board wire connecters.

Use a quarter-inch socket or nut driver to unthread the screw securing the grounding wire.

Now use a phillips-head screwdriver or a number two square drive bit to unthread the screw securing the inverter board and detach the board from the compressor.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the wire connecter off of the compressor terminals and fully remove the old board.

Install the new inverter board by carefully positioning it behind the refrigerant lines to the left of the compressor.

Slide the wire connecter on the compressor terminals and hook the new board on the compressor.

Thread and tighten the screw to secure the board.

Next, secure the grounding wire with the screw.

Connect the two inverter board wire connecters.

Now reposition the compressor and board.

With the washers in place, secure the compressor with the three retaining pins.

Reposition the rear access panel and secure it with the screws.

Reattach the water supply line to the inlet valve.

Secure the line to the rear panel with the retainer.

With the repair completed turn the water supply back on

Plug the power cord back in and your refrigerator should be ready for use.
