As with any repair, be sure you unplug the appliance before beginning.

Your first step is to remove the screws to release the back panel.

Next, remove the belt by rotating the tub drive pulley while pulling the belt up and out.

Remove the wire harness from the motor

As well as the grounding wire.

Using a 5/16th inch socket, remove the screws securing the old motor.

Now support the motor and slide forward to remove.

Install the new motor by sliding it into position

Then secure it with the screws.

Reconnect the wire harness

Making sure the ribbing is on the inside

First loop the belt onto the motor shaft pulley

Then position it onto the tub drive pulley.

Rotate the pulley to fully align the belt.

Secure it with the screws.

You’re now ready to plug the appliance back in to make sure it’s functioning properly.
