Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the front vertical spring in your washer Unplug the power cord.

Use a number two square-bit screwdriver to remove the mounting screws securing the bottom of the front panel.

With the screws removed, slide the panel down and pull it out to detach.

Now pull down the tub to reduce the tension on the spring if still intact.

Use pliers to unhook the spring from the support then unhook the spring from the base anchor to fully remove.

Prepare the new front vertical spring for installation by applying a small amount of petroleum jelly to the hooks.

Hook the shorter end of the spring onto the base anchor and the longer end onto the support.
8
Replace the front panel by inserting the panel tabs into the slots in the side panels.
9
Push the panel up into position and replace the mounting screws.
10
With the repair completed plug the power cord back in and your washer should be ready for use.
