Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the water inlet valve in your washer

Shut off the water supply.

Next, remove the hot and cold water supply lines from the inlet valve – be prepared for some water to spill out.

Use a number two square-bit screwdriver to remove the mounting screws securing the bottom of the front panel.

With the screws removed, slide the panel down and pull it out to detach.

Next, remove the mounting screws securing the side panels to the main top.

Lift up the lid and use a flat-head screwdriver to help detach the latch assembly.

Remove the bleach dispenser cover.

Use a phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screw securing the dispenser.

Depress the tabs to release the dispenser from the main top.

You can now lift up the main top and support it.

Use the number two square-bit screwdriver to remove the water inlet valve mounting screw.

Detach the inlet valve from the rear panel.

Note the orientation of the wires connected to the valve then disconnect them.

Next, release the retaining clamp and pull the bleach dispenser hose off of the valve.

Release the retaining clamp securing the fill spout hose and pull the hose off.

You’re now ready to install the new water inlet valve.

Attach the fill spout hose and the bleach dispenser hose and secure them with the retaining clamps.

Connect the wires to the appropriate terminals on the new valve.

Insert the valve into the rear panel, lift up and replace the mounting screw to secure.

Remove the support and lower the main top.

Confirm that the pins in the side of the panels are aligned with the holes in the top.

Snap the bleach dispenser into place on the main top.

Rethread the screw.

Replace the cover.

Next, secure the latch assembly in the main top.

Replace the front panel by inserting the panel tabs into the slots in the side panels.

Push the panel up into position and replace the mounting screws.

Attach the hot and cold water supply lines to the new inlet valve.

With the repair completed turn the water supply back on plug the power cord back in and your washer should be ready for use.
