Tools used: multi-screwdriver, T25 Torx screwdriver, flat-head bit, needle-nose pliers
Step-By-Step Instructions1
Before you replace the primer bulb on your chainsaw first make sure the engine has cooled and that the on-off switch is in the “off” position.

We recommend performing this procedure with little or no fuel in the tank.

Now use a t-25 torx bit screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the top cover.

Pull the cover off – this may require some effort.

Next, remove the carburetor fuel line from the primer bulb – be prepared for some fuel to spill.

Now use a small flathead screwdriver to depress a retaining tab to release the primer bulb from the bracket.

This will make it easier to detach the gas tank fuel line to completely remove the old primer bulb.

Install the new primer bulb by first attaching the gas tank fuel line to the long port on the bulb.

Snap the primer bulb into place on the bracket and attach the carburetor fuel line to the short port.

Rethread the screws to secure.

Turn the on-off switch to the “on” position fill the tank with fuel and your chainsaw should be ready for use.
