Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the spark arrestor on your generator first make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, you should remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Use a 5/16th inch socket to remove the screws securing the muffler shield.

Pull the shield off.

Now remove the screws to release the old spark arrestor from the muffler.

Install the new spark arrestor by positioning it on the muffler then replace the screws to secure it.

Realign the muffler shield and secure the screws.

Reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug and your generator should be ready for use.
