Dryer won't start

If your clothes dryer drum doesn't turn when the dryer is on, you likely need the Drive Belt WE03X29897, which is 89-1/2 inches long with four ribs. This genuine OEM replacement part is compatible with Whirlpool, Kenmore, GE, Hotpoint, and RCA dryers and washer/dryer combos.

On most dryers, when the dryer belt breaks, the motor will still run, but the drum will not turn. However, some dryers have a switch that shuts off power to the dryer if the drive belt is broken. Check the dryer belt to determine if it is broken. If the belt is broken, replace it.

Dryer has a burning smell

A drive belt that is stretched, worn or frayed can slip producing a burning smell. If the belt is damaged also check that the drum and idler pulley turn freely.

Dryer vibrating or shaking
