Bosch Washer is making loud noise
When your Bosch washer is making loud noise, start with the simplest cause: shipping bolts or the rear foam block may still be installed, allowing the tub to move and create a noisy washing machine. If the noise continues, a worn tub bearing is a likely cause, especially when the washer is loud when spinning or the washing machine is making noise when spinning. A defective tub seal and bearing kit can produce the same symptoms and may also cause water to leak from the bottom of the tub near the transmission. On some Bosch models, the bearing is built into the rear drum, so replacing the rear drum with bearing or the outer tub and bearing assembly may be the most practical repair. A separate tub bearing or bearing can also fail and often requires extensive washer disassembly. Finally, check for an improperly balanced load. Mixing heavy and light items, or washing too few items, can make the washer bang or become noisy during spin. 05 - Bosch Washing Machine Rear Drum with Bearing
The rear drum has a bearing or bearings in it to keep the inner tub spinning smoothly. If the tub bearing system is defective the washer can become very noisy. On some machines bearings are sold separately from the rear drum, however we recommend replacing both the outer drum and bearing as an assembly if the manufacturer offers the components together because removing and pressing in the new bearing can be exceptionally difficult.
