Range beeping/alarm sounding
When your range is beeping, the oven alarm is sounding, or the stove beeping continues, start by checking the display for a fault code. A code is the most likely clue and can point to the problem, so check your owner's manual or search the code for the correct diagnostic steps. A recent power outage is another highly likely cause. The range may display PO or PF, flash, and beep until you press a button or reset it according to the manufacturer's instructions. A power surge or temporary power interruption can also affect range operation, making a full power reset necessary. Turn the range circuit breaker off for a few minutes, then turn it back on and check whether the alarm clears. If the range keeps beeping after these resets, the user control and display board, oven control board, touchpad, wire harness, or another connected component may need testing. Disconnect power before accessing electrical parts, and use the fault code to guide your diagnosis. Enter your range model number to find the exact replacement part for your specific range, stove, or oven.
