Pressure washer has no pressure

If your pressure washer has no pressure, the pump assembly is the most likely problem. A worn or damaged pump cannot build the water pressure needed for effective cleaning, even when the engine or electric motor runs normally. If the pump is more than a few years old and you use the pressure washer often, replacing the pump assembly is usually the best repair. For a newer pump or a machine used only occasionally, rebuilding the pump or replacing the pump seals may restore pressure at a lower cost. A failed pump, worn pump seals, damaged pump valves, or a faulty pump head can cause a pressure washer to stop building pressure, lose pressure, or produce weak pressure. Before ordering parts, inspect the water inlet filter, inlet screen, garden hose connection, high-pressure hose, spray gun, and quick-connect nozzle for restrictions or damage. If those parts are clear and the pressure washer motor runs but no pressure develops, focus on the pump.
