Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, you should unplug the appliance before beginning. and turn off the hot and cold water supply valves.

Your first step is to disconnect the water supply hoses from the inlet valve. Be prepared for some water to spill out.

Next, secure the washer lid with tape.

Now insert a putty knife under the main top to release the two spring clips.

Lift up the main top and support it.

Use pliers to release the clamp securing the fill hose to the inlet valve and pull the hose off.

Note the orientation of the solenoid and thermistor wires then disconnect them.

Remove the mounting screw securing the inlet valve and pull the old valve out of the rear panel.

Install the new water inlet valve by inserting it into the rear panel then secure it with the mounting screw.

Connect the thermistor and solenoid wires to the appropriate terminals.

Reattach the fill hose and secure it with the clamp.

Remove the support lower the main top and snap it into place.

Then remove the tape securing the lid.

Connect the water supply hoses to the new inlet valve and turn the water supply back on.

You’re now ready to plug the power cord back in and confirm that the washer is functioning properly.
