To replace the main control board in your lg washer, you will need needle nose pliers, flathead screwdriver, and a drill driver with a phillips bit.

Before you begin the procedure, unplug the washer.

Pull the washer away from the wall.

Unthread the two screws on the top panel.

Slide and lift the top panel off.

Remove the twist tie from the wire.

Release the top three tabs from the cover.

Detach the retaining clip from the cover and remove the cover.

Noting the orientation of the wires, unplug the harness from the control board.

Unthread the screw that secures the board assembly.

Pull back the tab then slide and lift it out.

To install the new control board, place the tabs in the panel and press down to secure it, then slide forward to seat the peg in the frame.

Rethread the screw to the control board.

Plug in the wire harness.

Align the three tabs under the main control board with the cover then roll forward to snap in place.

Attach the retaining clip.

Reattach the twist tie.

Set and slide the top panel onto the washer.

Rethread the two screws into the panel.

Push the washer back into place.

Plug the power cord back in, and your washer should be ready for use.
