Laundry Center Control Panel Replacement

"Step 1: Gather a number two square drive bit, a phillips-head screwdriver, and a small flat-head screwdriver.

Step 2: Unplug the power cord.

Step 3: Use the number two square drive bit or the phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the two screws securing the dryer's lower access panel.

Step 4: Pull the panel up to remove.

Step 5: Unthread the two mounting screws securing the control panel.

Step 6: Pull the panel down to detach.

Step 7: Release the wires from the retaining clip and set the panel on a towel or blanket.

"Step 8: Use the phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the four mounting screws securing the washer's user interface board and the four screws securing the dryer's user interface board.

Step 9: Pull off both selector knobs.

Step 10: Pull the retaining tabs back to release both boards.

"Step 11: Use the small flat-head screwdriver to pull back the tabs to release both button supports.

"Step 12: With the supports detached, remove all of the control buttons."

"Step 13: To prepare the new control panel for installation, insert all of the control buttons in the appopriate slots. "

Step 14: Align and snap the two buttons in the appropriate slots.

Step 15: Align both the washer and dryer user interface boards and snap them into position.

Step 16: Rethread all of the screws to secure.

Step 17: Replace both selector knobs.

Step 18: Secure the wires in the retaining clip.
