Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, be sure to unplug the appliance before beginning.

Your first step is to remove the appropriate burner knob.

This may require some effort -

You can use string or wire to help pry it off.

Next, remove the screws securing the upper back panel

Remove the mounting screws to release the old surface element switch.

Install the new surface element switch by inserting it into the control panel and securing it with the mounting screws.

Transfer the wires from the old switch to the new one.

Replace the back panel and secure the screws.

Replace the burner knob and plug the appliance back in to make sure it’s functioning properly.
