Step By Step Instructions

Before you begin the replacement, make sure the engine has cooled remove the wire and boot from the spark plug and turn off the fuel valve.

Your first step is to use a small flathead screwdriver to help pry open the wire retainer securing the wiring loom.

Disconnect the two leads of the old switch assembly.

Next, remove the mounting bolts securing the engine shroud.

Pull the shroud off and straighten the grounding tab. now pull the old switch out.

Install the new on/off switch by aligning the notch in the switch with the slot in the shroud and snap the component into place.

Bend the grounding tab back to secure.

Reposition the shroud and secure the bolts.
9
Connect the two leads of the switch assembly and secure the wires in the retainer.

You can now turn the fuel valve back on and reattach the spark plug wire and boot.
