To replace the trimmer head dust cap on your string trimmer…

…use channel-lock pliers to secure the dust cap and a strap-wrench to help unthread the trimmer head by rotating it counter-clockwise.

Be careful not to cut yourself on the cutting blade.

Remove the old dust cap.

Install the new trimmer head dust cap…

…by positioning it on the drive shaft.

Now rethread the trimmer head clockwise onto the shaft.
