Step-By-Step Instructions1
Before you replace the heating element in your washer be sure to unplug the power cord.

Use a number two square bit or a phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the rear access panel

Note the orientation of the wires connected to the heating element then disconnect them.

Use a 10mm deep-well socket to unthread the mounting nut securing the heating element.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to help pry out the old element.

Install the new heating element by inserting it firmly into the tub.

Tighten the mounting nut.

Connect the wires to the appropriate terminals.

Reposition the rear access panel.

Thread and tighten the screws to secure.

With the repair completed plug the power cord back in and your washer should be ready for use.
