Step By Step Instructions

1
Before you replace the carburetor on your leaf blower make sure the engine has cooled and the on-off switch is in the “off” position.
2
Note the orientation of the fuel lines attached to the carburetor then detach them – be prepared for some fuel to spill out.
3
Now loosen the mounting screw to release the air filter cover and pull out the air filter.
4
Use a t-25 torx bit screwdriver to unthread the carburetor mounting bolts.
5
Separate the air filter housing and bolts from the carburetor.
6
Detach the throttle cable from the linkage to fully remove the old carburetor.
7
Prepare the new carburetor for installation by transferring the throttle cable from the old carburetor to the new one.
8
To do this, insert the barrel end of the cable through the carburetor cable guide.
9
Confirm that the swivel is properly positioned then depress the throttle lever and align the cable in the swivel.
10
Install the carburetor by first attaching the cable to the throttle linkage.
11
Confirm that the cable is aligned with the groove in the cable guide.
12
With the filter housing aligned on the mounting bolts, slide the new carburetor onto the bolts followed by the intake manifold gasket.
13
Now thread the bolts into the carburetor spacer and tighten to secure the assembly.
14
Realign the air filter on the filter housing.
15
Reposition the cover and tighten the screw to secure.
16
Attach the fuel lines to the appropriate ports on the new carburetor.
17
With the new carburetor installed, be aware you may need to reset the idle setting by adjusting the screw.
