As with any repair, be sure you unplug the appliance before beginning

Shut off the water supply.

To replace the water inlet valve in your washer, first remove the hot and cold water supply lines from the inlet valve – be prepared for some water to spill out.

Next, remove the screws securing the top panel.

Now lift the panel up and push forward to remove.

Remove the inlet valve mounting screws to release the valve.

Note the orientation of the wires and disconnect them from the valve.

Release the retaining clamp securing the outlet hose and pull the hose off of the valve.

Prepare the new water inlet valve for installation by transferring the bracket from the old valve to the new one.

Attach the hose to the outlet port on the new valve and position the clamp to secure.

Position the valve bracket on the frame and replace the mounting screws.

Connect the wire connecters to the appropriate terminals.

Realign the top panel and replace the screws to secure.

Attach the hot and cold water supply lines to the new inlet valve.

You’re now ready to turn the water supply back on

Plug the power cord back in and confirm that the washer works properly.
