To determine if the touchpad and control panel are defective, try pressing each of the buttons on the control panel. If some of the buttons respond correctly while others don’t, replace the touchpad and control panel.

Microwave turntable not turning

The touchpad and control panel might be defective. However, the turntable motor is much more likely to be at fault. First, test the turntable motor. If the motor is not defective, it is possible that the touchpad and control panel are defective. To determine if the touchpad and control panel are defective, try pressing each of the buttons on the control panel. If some of the buttons respond correctly while others don’t, replace the touchpad and control panel.

If the microwave does not have a separate display board, then the display not working is likely caused by a defective touchpad and control panel.

Microwave turns on by itself

It’s possible that the touchpad and control panel button circuits are coming into contact with each other intermittently which could cause the microwave to turn on by itself. If this happens, the touchpad and control panel will need to be replaced.

Microwave exhaust fan not working

If the exhaust fan indicator doesn't come on when the fan touchpad button is pressed on the control panel, it's likely the touchpad and control panel assembly is malfunctioning and should be replaced.

Microwave won't turn off

The cancel or off button on the control panel may not be activating when it's pressed. To determine if the touchpad and control panel are defective, try pressing each of the buttons on the control panel. If some of the buttons respond correctly while others don’t, replace the touchpad and control panel.
