Range vent hood doesn't vent to the outside

Trap grease effectively with this genuine OEM grease filter, part number 5304484121, for select Frigidaire Range Vent Hoods.

If the range hood is not venting correctly check out the grease filter(s). If the filter is very dirty it can be cleaned. Remove it and soak it in a degreasing solution until the grease is dissolved. Next, wash it with warm, soapy water to remove any traces of the degreaser. If the filter does not come clean or is damaged, replace it.

Range vent hood is overheating

Range vent hoods use one or more grease filters to collect grease and oils rising up with the steam during stovetop cooking while allowing air to pass through. If the filters are clogged with too much grease, the blower will have a hard time moving air and the blower motor can overheat. You should periodically clean the grease filters with dish soap and warm water to ensure good air flow. If the filters are excessively soiled or damaged, they should be replaced.

Range vent hood turns off by itself

If the range hood turns off by itself, the grease filter(s) may be clogged and causing the vent hood to overheat. If a filter is very dirty it can be cleaned.
