Electric stove burner won't turn off

Replace worn or broken controls with this genuine OEM replacement control knob, part number 316543801. Compatible with select Range/Stove/Oven models from Frigidaire or Kelvinator. Get the right fit at Repair Clinic.

If a range's surface element won't turn off, you should first inspect the control knob for damage. A broken knob may be unable to rotate the surface element switch stem to stop voltage being sent to the element.

Gas stove burner won't turn off

If the burner control knob is cracked or broken it may not be turning the gas valve stem. Inspect the knob for any damage and replace if necessary.

Gas stove burner not heating properly

If a burner flame is not changing as expected when the burner valve control knob is turned from low to high, it's possible the knob is stripped out or damaged and unable to rotate the valve stem. Inspect the knob for any cracks or wear and replace if necessary.

Stove/oven controls don't work

A stove control knob needs to be able to engage and rotate the switch or valve stem for that control to work. If the knob is cracked or stripped out and just slips on the stem a new knob will need to be installed to properly engage the switch or valve.
